AnnLee Allen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with KDM Counseling Group. She began her education at Auburn University earning her Bachelors in Communications followed by obtaining a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

Following a lifelong dream and passion for helping others through difficult times, AnnLee mentored several groups of college aged women through the college experience and graduation. Next, she began a rewarding and challenging experience counseling families and children during pre and post adoptions from the foster care system. Through this experience, AnnLee developed skills working with children, adolescents, and parents navigating through trauma, life changes, and understanding difficult behaviors.

All along AnnLee was shaping and developing her true focus: marriage counseling, conflict resolution, counseling children during parental conflict/divorce, and most importantly assisting women during transitions. Marital difficulties and divorce are highly traumatic and many individuals replace healthy thoughts, behaviors, and routines with unhealthy behaviors rooted in survival mode.

AnnLee specializes in assisting women work on themselves, manage grief, fear, and loss, and reducing shame and bitterness while moving to a renewed sense of strength and hope. Additionally, she helps children through divorce or parental conflict by providing them a safe space for their private thoughts and worries. AnnLee works to equip kids with healthy coping skills to utilize in stressful and confusing situations.

Michael Anthony is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern, born and raised in Elmira, NY. While in New York, Michael earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology from Keuka College in 2010 and utilized his passion for helping others in Group Homes and as a Job Coach for individuals with developmental disabilities.

In 2011, Michael relocated to sunny Saint Petersburg and continued to work in community based mental health as a Child Safety Case Manager and Client Intake Assessor. Due to his excitement about the mental health field, Michael returned to school and gained his Master of Social Work from Fordham University.

Michael’s strengths lie in his genuine, approachable demeanor and empathetic style. He knew relationship therapy was a calling by the vast number of friends and family members reaching out to him during their own relationship hardships. Michael truly feels passionate about offering his services in a warm and understanding manner.

Leila Daugherty is a Licensed Certified School Psychologist. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University and her Education Specialist Degree in Child, Family, and School Psychology from the University of Denver.

She primarily works with children and adolescents by evaluating their strengths and needs using a comprehensive and solution focused model. Amy L’Heureux (La-roo) currently resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband, Raymond (Lt. Col. USMC), daughters Evelyn and Amelia, and German Shepherd, Jibber.

Hailing originally from Philadelphia, Amy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia while being a member of the Division 1 Field Hockey team. She earned her Master’s in Education from University of Arizona and has taught around the globe for the past thirteen years.

Amy decided to further her passion of helping people and enrolled at Wake Forest University to obtain a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is due to graduate in the Fall of 2023 and will be garnering experience in marriage and family therapy at KDM Counseling Group.

Jess Lowe serves as our Client Coordinator and Grief Coach. She was born and raised in Houston, TX, but later moved to Spanish Fort, Alabama where she has called home for years.

With a passion for helping people, Jess wanted a career where she could continue to assist those she encounters. With her experience as a business owner and over a decade working in administration, she decided to use these skills in a field which serves to improve the lives and well-being of others. Often the first person to make contact with our clients, Jess is excited to make a difference and assist them in obtaining the services they need. She’ll be sure to greet you with a smile you can hear!

Jess is also our on staff Grief Coach. She is certified in Grief Coaching through the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching. Having experienced tremendous loss herself, Jess wanted to share the information and tools she has learned by helping others along their grief journeys.

Jenna Rae is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and trained Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist. Growing up in Running Springs, a small mountain town in Southern California, Jenna Rae went on to obtain her master’s in social work from Columbia University.

On the weekends, Jenna Rae would visit her father who lived in Newport Beach, CA. This upbringing instilled a deep love for the ocean! At the age of 20, she moved to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, and was introduced to the profound healing effects of yoga. For the past 14 years she has taught yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and sound therapy. Experiencing the significant benefits of these practices on her own mental health is what inspired her to become a therapist.

In Jenna Rae’s practice she incorporates the therapeutic techniques of Trauma Informed Care, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Gottman Couples Therapy, and the intuition gained from her own healing of childhood trauma.
